Brandon Hibbitts

I am an Eagle Scout and a cybersecurity practitioner currently completing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity at Bowling Green State University. My work centers on penetration testing, secure configuration, and vulnerability analysis, where I enjoy simulating real‑world attack scenarios to uncover weaknesses and strengthen defenses. I’ve built strong hands‑on experience with tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Abnormal Security, Nmap, Burp Suite, and Metasploit, and I’ve applied these skills across real client environments through both academic and professional projects. Over the past two years, I’ve performed penetration tests and produced CIS‑aligned remediation reports for small businesses through a nonprofit security initiative, giving me practical experience in both technical testing and clear, client‑focused communication. I also co‑own HiCo Security LLC, where I help define scopes, conduct physical and network penetration tests, and deliver professional security reports. As the founding Vice President of the BGSU Cybersecurity CTF Club, I teach Linux fundamentals, offensive security tools, and CTF methodologies while leading workshops and competitions. Driven by curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to continuous improvement, I’m focused on advancing my expertise in red teaming and helping organizations strengthen their security posture through clear, actionable guidance.
